Manage Junk Filters
The junk filter captures messages that might be junk. You can increase the setting for more stringent filtering, but more valid messages might be captured. With a more aggressive setting, check your quarantine frequently.
- Junk Email Blocking can be activated or deactivated here.
- Overall Junk Filter, choose a level of aggressiveness from the Overall Junk Filter drop-down list.
- Fine-tune the junk email filters that protect your email inbox from unwanted messages, by clicking on the Show Category Filters.
- These controls filter individual categories of junk email more aggressively than determined for junk email in general by the overall filter. Leaving category filters at their most lenient setting adds no extra filtering. Increasing one to be more aggressive means Message Center is more likely to quarantine that type of message as junk.
- To adjust a filter, click one of the radio buttons for that filter category. (The higher the number, the ore aggressive the filtering.)
Please note: Increasing a category filter level is more likely to quarantine valid messages than raising the overall junk email filter. After increasing any filter level, visit Message Center regularly over the next few days to verify no valid messages are quarantined.
